(Sorry if this post comes off like a rambling mess, but it's been on my mind lately and I feel like you guys are the only ones who would understand my insanity with this.)

So in about a month or so, I'm going to start the tedious process of packing up everything I own for my upcoming move. As some of you already know, a big part of this has been to cut my collection of figures down to the bare essentials: I've already sold or given away a huge number of figures, and I've forced myself to stop buying new figures (the only thing keeping the collector in me sane is that I have been making exceptions for Amiibos).

Well, I'm taking another hard look at my shelf, and in particular I've been looking at the biggest collection I still own, the Batman figures. And while I have ZERO intention of getting rid of it, I've been thinking about whether to remove some things, maybe replace some other things, etc.

The biggest change is what to do about the Arkham figures. For those who haven't seen it, my batman shelf is made up of 5 different toy lines that feature batman figures: DCUC, DCC Animated, Film/Live Action TV, Mattel's Arkham figures, and LEGO minifigs. I recently switched over to Mattel's "DC Multiverse" toy line for the Arkham figures because the line was far cheaper, and because I really didn't care for DCC's expensive and ugly looking Clayface figure.

However, since that point, things have gone sour with Mattel's line. Despite a strong start, Mattel seems to have once again dropped a toy line I enjoyed, since it sounds like the line may well have been cancelled. I hope that's not the case and that it's just been temporarily overtaken by the upcoming BvS movie, but with the Arkham games pretty much over and done with as of Arkham Knight, I wouldn't be shocked if they've already moved on.

And really, that's kind of where I sit too. I love the Arkham games, but now that the series is over, I don't really feel the same pull towards collecting for it that I used to. If I still had my DCC figures or Mattel kept going with their line, I'd want to finish it off, but the idea of potentially starting over from scratch with DCC's line again or keeping an unfinished Mattel line doesn't appeal to me. If Mattel really is finished, I'd almost rather get rid of the Arkham stuff entirely and focus on the lines and collections I can reasonably "finish."

So... yeah, that's where I'm at right now. Really, I know this is ultimately my decision and I'm probably the only one who understands my dilemma anyway, but I needed to get it all typed out regardless. That said, if anyone has any input, I'd love to hear it.
