So I was super excited to try out Windows 10, and after about a week of waiting it finally gave me the go ahead to download and install it.
AND BOY AM I GLAD I INSTALLED IT ON MY JUNK LAPTOP FIRST CUZ HOLY CRAP WHAT A LOAD OF TRASH!
Windows 10 install assistant gave me the go ahead and said my laptop was up to spec and could handle the install, but let me tell you everything went downhill from there almost instantly.
Thankfully I figured out the problem with the touchpad, but every time I would restart, the same error kept coming back and completely disabled the touchpad. Never got the other stuff to work again, but it didn't matter because I decided after like 3 days of fighting this damn thing trying to get it working again that I had enough and was going to reinstall win7 and get my laptop back to working order....
Turns out that was a pipedream.
I don't know what the hell win10 did to my drive but it made it impossible to download or even load windows 7 from the install disc. After trying to reinstall win7 for around 4 hrs I gave up and pulled the drive. I'm gonna stick it in my main rig and reformat it and then install win 7 from there and hopefully get it to a state where it can boot from and hopefully put it back into my laptop and get the damn thing working again, but at this point I aint too positive anything but a new hdd is going to fix this problem.
Super unstoked right now.
Anyone else install win10 and having nightmare with it?
my computer is dying a slow and painful death so I have to get a new one at some point in the next 6 months. Unfortunatly I'll have to have Win10 in that computer

Oh yeah if you buy something new they might have it pre-installed, that sucks. But heres the thing, anything that has it preinstalled will already have been through certification and have made sure the parts in the computer are compatible with the OS, so you're not likely to run into the problems I have when using it cuz they will have already done all the trouble shooting to make sure it all works and wont break things.

Build your own, that way you can put whatever operating system on it that you want!
