As of late I've been disappointed with a lot of the newer games I own.
Started off really loving the idea of Battlefield:Hardline, but the 1st dlc pack was an absolute joke and offered very little in the way of expanding the game play or giving a set of maps that justified the price. As Battlefield is my annual big game purchase which generally carries me through at least a year, and this one kinda stinks, I've been revisiting some classics from the recent past.
The game that's got its hooks in me again in COD4 Modern Warfare. I LOVED this game. I was looking at my stats for this game and I had something like 18 days played time in on it. I really love what a huge step forward this game was in regards to multiplayer games online, and how simple and streamlined it was. It offered some new gimmicks and things that spiced the game up a bit and made it pretty damn fun, but wasn't such a drastic changed that it was daunting to pick up and enjoy.
So I've been going back and playing this the last handful of days and having a pretty good time with it. Granted, I wish I could turn off the damn autoaim crap cuz its throwing me off my shots like crazy when I try to ADS, but I'm having a pretty damn good time playing it none the less.
Anyone else playing any older titles recently that they haven't touched in a while?
After completing Arkham Knight (98% on the meter, I refuse to do all the Riddler trophies lol) in about 4 days I was still jonesing to play some more so I broke out Arkham Asylum and replayed that story and all its side missions. Well all except the Riddler trophies. Only did about 65% of those. I'm now a bit over 70% through Arkham City. I suppose I'll probably move on to Origins until Star Wars Battlefront arrives.
I loved the earlier COD games. Ghosts was ok, Advanced Warfare was a Halo knockoff that I got bored with in less than a week. My friends I play multiplayer with didnt even make it a week. All the info and videos Ive seen for Black Ops 3 makes it a pass for me. Its the first game in the history of that franchise that I wont buy. Hell, its the first one in 5 years I didnt pre-order and get all the bells n whistles. I long for them to go back to their roots and revisit WWII or bring another Modern Warfare out. Lord knows theres plenty of conflicts to use as a backdrop. I really hoped that BO3 was going to visit one of the numerous Cold War hot spots of the 70's or 80's, but nooooooooo, instead theyve got you climbing walls like Spider-Man with an exo-suit. Oh well, they dont need my $.
Still looking for the fabled "long haired, orange shirt Aquaman"!

Yeah they totally ripped off TITANFALL which is a far better game frankly.
